- Producer, Live Performer, DJ from Detroit, MI, USA.Rebecca Goldberg is a producer, live performer, DJ and designer from Detroit. Since her debut EP, 313 Acid Queen, she has been affiliated with the multidisciplinary arts collective, Detroit Underground. She has released high-quality music and multimedia projects spanning acid techno to experimental electronic music. Carrying with her the tradition of Detroit Techno, Goldberg tours internationally as a DJ and live performer. Rebecca is a seasoned radio DJ having mixed for FM and internet-radio shows hosted across the globe. She has been featured at notable events from Detroit’s seminal Movement Festival to the world-renowned Berghain in Berlin. In her live show, Rebecca focuses on sound design and the improvisational capabilities of working with electronic instruments. The result is her presentation of an energetic array of lush techno soundscapes. In early 2023 she produced a show called Upphljómun during the Reykjavík Winter Lights Festival to showcase live performances from herself and several Icelandic artists. The event led to her penning an editorial piece published by Roland Corporation. Goldberg often incorporates original field recordings into her work. In 2022 the New BBC Radiophonic Workshop released a selection of recordings she took throughout her native Michigan for their Travel Agency project. Goldberg has written original scores for classic films, “Le Voyage Dans La Lune” and “Gojira,” which included live performances at Silencio, David Lynch’s members-only club in Paris, and Armageddon Beachparty in Detroit. With several EPs, remixes and live releases under her belt, Goldberg has refined her style while allowing her audience to discover and appreciate her unique sound. Her dedication to keeping Detroit techno music innovative is her motivating force.
