- Replete is the music project of Ireland’s Peter Lawlor. His sound is influenced and informed by different forms of electronic music, with leanings towards house, techno and more experimental elements in places.Replete is the project of musician, producer and DJ Peter Lawlor. Replete’s sound takes influence from an eclectic range of styles, rhythms and textures such as House, afro, Hip Hop, Soul and experimental electronica. Pilfering through all of these styles to create a unique take on modern house music. Replete’s DJ sets explore a broad range of genres and styles that could start from laid back warm up vibes of soul, afrobeat and Hip Hop and end up with peak time house classics. Replete’s DJ sets inform his productions and overall sound; connecting disparate influences, with sampling, live performance, programming and organic sounds all finding room in his productions. Replete’s sound has seen his music land on a wide range of labels such as Minneapolis cult cassette label Alway Human Tapes, Vietnamese/Manchester’s Ele Records and legendary UK label Paper Recordings. 2017 saw the release of Replete’s first 12’’ on Ele Records alongside the likes of Contours, Cottam, Byron the Aquarius and Sameed. His releases have received support from the likes of Frits Wentink, BBC Radio 1, ID Magazine, Throwing Shade and RTE Radio. 2017 also saw Replete collaborating with Irish-based producer Leo Pearson on a Redbull Soundome. They were commissioned to produce a 16-channel 90 minute piece of music for the a geodesic dome consisting of 46 speakers and 5 sub woofers that was premiered at Electric Picnic in September 2017.̸Zizek at the Discotheque (Always Human Tapes, 2017) Líle (Paper Recordings, 2017) Legislate (Ele Records, 2017)
