- Rio Kawamoto has releases on INIT (Tokyo) and also on european labels such as Teffebu (Mexico) and What Now Becomes (Berlin). Other than Tokyo he had the opportunity to play abroad, China, Korea, notably at Epizode festival 2017 in Vietnam.横浜出身。 2007年頃よりDJ活動を開始。様々なジャンルでの活動を経て、Techno / House 主としたダンスミュージックに傾倒する。 2015年5月には自身初となるEP "Lemmings EP"をロンドンのSakadat Recordよりリリース。 その後ドイツ、イタリア、スペイン、ロシア、メキシコ等の海外レーベルを中心に作品をリリース。 DJとしての活動は都内各所でのDJ、パーティーメイクのみならず、韓国、上海Elevator Clubや44KW、2017年1月にはベトナムはフーコック島で開催されたEpizode Festivalに出演するなど、活動の幅を広げている。 また、2020年にはメキシコの注目コレクティブ、buffete が運営する Teffebu より 12inch EP " Chabu " をリリース。 XLR8R や meoko など海外メディアにも取り上げられる。 Born in Yokohama, Japan. Started DJing around 2007. After working in various genres, he became devoted to electronic dance music, mainly Techno and House. In May 2015, he released his first EP "Lemmings EP" from Sakadat Record in London. Since then, he has been releasing his works mainly on labels in Europe such as Germany, Italy, Spain, and Russia. His activities as a DJ have expanded to include not only DJing and party making at various venues in Tokyo, but also performing at Elevator Club and 44KW in Shanghai, Korea, and Epizode Festival in Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam in January 2017. In 2020, he released a 12-inch EP "Chabu" on Teffebu, a label run by the Mexican collective buffete.
