  • Sicilian-born, Amsterdam-based DJ, Selector, and Radio Host, Salvatore began spinning records at the age of fifteen, influenced by the local jazz and dance music scene.
Salvatore's passion for music started early as a kid, with instruments at first. Playing piano, guitar, and percussions, while listening to records picked at the local flea markets. Later on, hanging out with the beatboxing, MCs, graffiti, and breakdance crews in his hometown Catania... eventually ending up sneaking into the clubs. Around that time, he got his hands on his first pair of turntables, and has never stopped digging since then. From the jam sessions days to the house and disco nights, inspired by artists such as James Brown, Ron Hardy, Donald Byrd, Larry Levan, Patrick Adams, Lonnie Liston Smith, Tom Moulton, Pharoah Sanders, Paulinho Da Costa, Theo Parrish, Roy Ayers... and many more. Salvatore's mixes are played from the heart, merging a broad range of sounds into a warm, dynamic mixing style that crosses Disco, Soul, House, Funk, Acid, World, Jazz, and other hard-to-find, out-of-the-box digging material. Throughout the years, he played several gigs internationally, sharing decks with some of his favorite artists, and holding recurring parties in Sicily, Amsterdam, and Warsaw. He is the founder of Mondoritmo, a digital hub connecting like-minded music lovers with podcasts, streaming shows, and parties. Since 2018, he has been playing a monthly residency in Amsterdam, DJing all night long at Canvas. He is also a DJ and member of Live Twentyfour 7 Net Radio, a music platform and artist movement originating in Chicago in 2012, with studios now in Chicago, Los Angeles, the UK, and Amsterdam. He hosts his show 'Worldisadance', as well as partaking in other installments, including the anniversary parties, or the 'Impromptunes', and the ‘Mellow Moods and Steppin’ Attitudes’ series.
