Sayko Yan Is Yann Schaeffer, from Nice, France. He is a DJ and electronic music lover of many years experience, active across many dance music genres in the French and International scene: 1992-1993: The beginning… Parties’ lover, his presence on the Dance Floor is not anymore sufficient; Yann needs to be behind the turntables!! Just feel the sensations of a DJ, make people dance, shout, give and take pleasure. 1994: Start mixing in parties… First Warm ups with an old school style: Eye Cue Records, Hart House … First afters for the Prophecy parties (acid core, hard techno, acid trance) Quickly, Yann joins the Prophet’s tribe (the biggest organisation at this time); it is the beginning of a three-year adventure. His mix improves, his technique refines; Yann starts sharing the scene with many international techno artists (Daft Punk, Jack de Marseille, Manu le Malin, Lisa’n Eliaz, Colin Dale, Scan X, Acid Kirk, Lunatic Asylum…) 1998: From DJ to Organizer/Promoter… In view of the evolution of the electronic scene on the Côte d’Azur (French Riviera), new horizons stand out; Yann is present at the creation of Zodiacal Concept. It is with his “friends” that the will to elaborate projects of quality arouses – like Survivors of the Prophecy I and II, which thrilled thousands of people. 2001-2003: The “electro-shock” After one year of a hard techno oriented style (quite striking) Yann turns to hybrid sets more Hard-techno/Trance tendency, to finally accede to a PsyTrance touch, both propulsive and mental, alliance he was always seeking for. Very soon, he organizes the first trance psychedelic party of the French Riviera “Return to the Prophecy” (2002): unexpected success! The selected line-up ablaze the Dance Floor. A succession of private parties follows. Thanks to more and more dynamic sets, Yann proves that the trance is a music that brings people together and stirs them up, to the main satisfaction of all novices and initiated of the Côte d’Azur. 2003 was particularly rich of emotions and evolution, first steps on the national and international scene as Psy Trance DJ. 2004- 2005: The event… Constantly concerned with improving the trance movement in the South East of France and elsewhere, Yann creates ANY GMATIK : this organization tends to favor and enrich the social link through the development of all new cultures, the principal vector being the electronic music and particularly Trance music. On 11 September 2004, ANY GMATIK co-organized an event with a “municipality” (city) of the French Riviera area: “Ultim Atom”. This cultural event gathered international artists, some of them expressing themselves for the first time in France. The implication and efforts made by the team for this event resulted in a fantastic success and already induced the evolution of mentalities of this area. His ever-growing passion and experience enabled Yann to actively participate in the elaboration of the Red Cells label. Thus, he decides to enlarge the team in order to put all chances to the side of Any Gmatik and surrounds himself with extremely motivated people. 2006-2009: The transition years.... In 2006, Any Gmatik takes off; the team expands for the greatest pleasure of its members... A series of events come to light under the name of “Synaesthesia”; enthusiasm, team spirit and success are present. In 2007, Yann joins Sonic Motion Records for a 2 years’ participation. On 07/07/07, he also organises his best event “Ultim Atom on Psy'Island”, that brings together (for the first time in France) the 7 live acts of: RAM, NRS, Scorb, Principles of Flight, Phonic Request, Early Reflections and Krügger Flaps. In 2008, Yann played at the well-known “FullMoon Festival” in Berlin which confirmed him as an international DJ. At the beginning of 2009, Yann joins Nexus Media, a label which exactly corresponds to his musical psychedelic feelings. Regarding his more progressive feelings (prog house / trance / techno), he also joins Air Snare Rec. He wishes to put his technique to the service of those two major labels. 2010 ... Asian and South Pacific tour (espacially in New Caledonia) where Yann had the opportunity to express himself in very nice venues with his both sets: FullOn Night PsyTrance and Progressive House Trance. Amasing tour !!!! "It’s a great time to be alive" Artists Yann played with: Broken Toy, Silicon Sound, Poli, Triskell, Neuromotor, Hyper Frequencies, Safi Connection, Talamasca, Nomad, Xenomorph, Pap’s, Ninja, Little Pumking, Kristian, Saïdu, Psychotrop, Ananda, Phatmatix, Digital Talk, Principles Of Flight, Phonic Request, Leptit, Atyss, Rinkadink, X-Noise, D-Nox, Scorb, NRS, RAM, Early Reflections, Krügger Flaps, Shift, Headroom, Sub 6, Human Blue, Peter Gun, Kaa, Ezekiel…. Parties organized: Survivors of the Prophecy I and II (3000 persons), HTTP, The Last Prophecy, some parties in different clubs of the Côte d’Azur, Return to the Prophecy, Ultim Atom 2004, Synaesthesia (1 to 7), Ultim Atom on Psy’Island 2007, Chaos Apero for the release of the 2nd POF album.
