- SENSOR Is originally from Catania, a sunny, vibrant city in Sicily (south of Italy) were he was born in 1980. As a young boy he grew up to the sounds of seventies rock'n'roll listening to bands such as Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd and Velvet Underground..SENSOR Is originally from Catania, a sunny, vibrant city in Sicily (south of Italy) were he was born in 1980. As a young boy he grew up to the sounds of seventies rock'n'roll listening to bands such as Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd and Velvet Underground. However, during his teens he started to look at the music he was listening to as somehow limited and believed that music was deemed to sound all the same, but he was rescued by a german friend who introduced him to techno music in the summer of 1994- and it was love at first sight. The sounds of Detroit's techno scene and underground European hardcore played at raves soon became crucial to the development of his passion for electronic music in all its genres and sub-genres. He was impressed by the immense possibilities offered by electronic music and decided that one day he would get involved in it, but he thought it was necessary to gain deeper knowledge of the instruments that were to become the centre of his work. When he moved to London in 2001 he started to study sound engineering,which allowed him to work in the studio recording rock bands and growing his knowledge of the recording and mastering process. His love for outboard gear, mixing consoles and new technologies has pushed him to work with bands in live concerts taking care of the FOH in different venues around London. It is at that time time that he meets Monokode, a Dj from Naples who gives him the chance of putting his hands on a pair of Technics and taught him the basics of Djing. In the meanwhile he started to save money to put together a little studio for him to start messing around with sounds and produce some tracks, trying to be open to new ideas and to define his own sound without the presumption of being original, because he knows that there will always be influences in his music as well as that of everyone else.
