Introduction: International DJ and Producer, over more than 25 years, Shane has established himself as a global player in the international music scene. Through the quality output of the label Jetlag Digital, the unique progressive house sound of his productions, and the forward-thinking drive of his podcast radio shows and headline DJ sets, Shane has consistently pushed boundaries and delivered fresh and exciting dance music for a worldwide audience. Shane – The DJ: Born in 1976 in Germany, Shane started his DJ career at the age of 16 and found his home base a few years later at the event and booking agency “Hertzmusic” in Kaiserslautern, Germany. There he could be heard as resident DJ in the legendary “Hertzclub” party series and at the Cameo-Club, and on radio stations such as Sunshine-Live and radio shows such as Big City Beats on BigFM. After his first high- profile gigs in Europe and Ibiza the early 2000s, Shane seized the opportunity to showcase his skills on one of the biggest stages in the world, and this changed his life and career forever. In 2005 – 2007, Shane became guest resident DJ of the Viproom in Shanghai, China, claiming his place in the renowned nightlife scene of one of the largest and most vital cities on the globe. This residency marked the beginning of a series of worldwide bookings and many tours in Asia and the United States. As Shane’s notoriety grew, his reach was further expanded as he began hosting internet radio shows such as his still-running Continental Fusion show on DI.FM (NYC) or Jetlag Digital on Pure.FM (SFO) Shane – The Producer: As his DJ career was on the rise the late 90’s, Shane founded a small studio and began to produce his own music. His first releases appeared on several local labels in Germany, and from there he progressed toward a steadily growing output of releases for a global audience. To date, Shane has enjoyed many worldwide releases on various respected labels, and has collaborated with or remixed for internationally known artists such as Loquai, Retroid, Michael & Levan, Embliss, Tropical Highlight Oliver Morgenroth and Dj Taucher. Shane has also appeared on a number of compilations, including the Jetlag Digital “Miami WMC Sampler” and the Sunshine Live “Mixmission 2010” CD, and he recently produced his first artist album, titled “Departure” and released in October 2010. Shane – The Progressive: In keeping with his favorite music style of progressive, Shane’s life and career revolve around that style’s underlying concept: progress. Starting out in the early 90s playing on vinyl, Shane kept an open mind toward the use of new technologies, first exchanging his vinyl decks for CDJs, then using his MacBook Pro with NI Traktor, and ultimately developing his own interface for Jazzmutant’s Lemur multitouch and modular controller. As a producer, Shane takes a highly individualistic approach, envisioning himself as the music fan on the dance floor, and utilizing his vast international live DJing experience and time-honed skills to bring the energy and feeling of a club into his music. Shane – Departure Album: One year in the making, Shane’s first Album “Departure” 2010 is a standout collection of 10 club-ready tracks presented individually and in a continuous DJ mix. The album represents Shane’s reflections between clubs, the studio, airports and flights, all of which have formed the centerpiece of Shane's life in recent years. “Departure” incorporates progressive influences from across the globe and includes three of Shane’s best remixes, for Tropical Highlight (Brazil), Felix Stone (USA) and Harley Augustine (Australia). Topping it off is “True”, Shane’s collaboration with Oliver Morgenroth (Germany), a massive tune and a fusion of Shane and Oliver's distinctive styles of progressive house. “Departure” has gained support from Markus Schulz, Armin Van Buren, Jerome Isma-AE, Pole Folder, Taucher, and many more. Shane – Jetstream Album: Shane’s long-awaited follow-up Album ‘Jetstream’ was released in 2014 to critical acclaim. Release Promo DJ Pool called ‘Jetstream’ “a fabulous collection of old school progressive house” and “one of Jetlag Digital’s most impressive releases.” A collection of original material and remixes, ‘Jetstream’ features the smooth lines and meticulous production that are the hallmarks of Shane’s body of work. The album’s original mixes demonstrate a timeless electricity, from the charging rhythms and rumbling synth lines of ‘Rocketship’ and ‘Supersonic’ to the exhilarating and emotional vocal tracks ‘Drive’ and ‘Along With You’. Also included are three of Shane’s recent remixes: Tim Robert - ‘Launch Angle’, Loquai - ‘Back Home’ and East Cafe - ‘Europa’. With support from Armin van Burren, Markus Schultz and Paul Oakenfold, and reaching #6 on the Release Promo Hype Charts, “Jetstream’ once again demonstrates Shane’s commitment to excellence. The Label – Jetlag Digital: Driven by the urge to experience the entire world, to embrace a wide range of electronic music influences from across the globe, and to incorporate new facets of global culture, Shane founded the Jetlag Digital label in 2008. Shane’s drive to expand his views and break down the boundaries of the ordinary became the foundation and soul of Jetlag Digital, one of the first truly international Progressive house labels to originate in Germany. Shane – Today: In 2017 Shane had retired from the international music Szene. His outstanding work as a DJ and Producer, his unforgatable live DJ sets and radio shows will allways be remembered. From modest beginnings in Germany, Shane has moved up to claim a respected place in the international music scene, and has continually demonstrated in a distinct way how true global dance music works.
