- Techno...All began in the year 1975 with the landing of a space craft, on an island called Crete in south Greece, coming out of planet SIGMATRON from another galaxy.A blonde boy with blue eyes appeared in order to explore planet Earth. He entered the human world growing up as a normal earthy boy. Soon everybody around him noticed how much he liked music... The year is 1985 and the electronic sounds attract him for ever (Vangelis, Kraftwerk, Steve Reich, Iannis Xenakis, Ray Parker Jr., The KLF, Mike Oldfield, David Bowie, Eurythmics and more). After his check-in in music the never ending journey was expected. Day by day he was entering deeper and deeper into the future sounds! And after an astral journey we come in the year 1990 when he established Rave Party 'n' The Fields and got the name Dj Raver . Saturday 11th, August 1990 and his first official open-air event & dj performance, in a country side, are in progress and hundreds of guests burn the dancefloor (specially in the sound of 'Ooops Up' by Snap -hard remix by Dj Raver-). Since then he organizes every year, in the middle of August in country sides, the 'paranormal' open-air events known as Aliens' Space Gathering, and during the winter season he organizes events like the Xtraterrestrial, in huge warehouse and factory areas. He also organizes in club areas a limited number of events, as he strongly believes that his sounds cannot be trapped behind walls, besides he loves to watch the colors of his sounds fly away to outer space! At his Aliens' Space Gathering and Xtraterrestrial events he uses his famous sound system called: 100KW Turbo Thrilling Sound and one of the best laser systems in the world, specially mutated for his events, that is called: Xtraterrestrial Laser Phenomena , presented along with his Alien dvd-video Projectors Show. Since 1993 he uses as 'base' the city of Athens, capital of Greece, where he continues to present his Hard-Sadcore-Techno sounds in terrifying-melancholic dj sets. In May 20th, 1994 he presents at Deree College-The American College of Greece, his official project: ‘The Complete History Of Rave - Volume 01’, after reading it, masses of college students and professors wanted and witnessed -The Rave Experience-. In the year 1995 he produces his first "cruel" track called: The Houze (hard-alien-industrial-minimal-techno) and that was only the beginning of producing his ‘Hard-Sadcore-Techno-Alien’ sounds under the name Sigmatron, which name is also used for his future dj performances. He is in eternal love with the tech-equipment he uses (Technics SL1200MKII turntables, Yamaha RS7000,Yamaha RM1X, Roland MC909, Roland MC505, Roland MC303, Roland Dj-2000, Roland Dj-1000, JBL S38, Numark PPD01, Numark DM2002X, Numark DM1100X, Numark M1, Korg Kaoss Pad 1+2, Apple MacBook Pro Apple iPod, Sony MZ-R700, Sony MDRV700DJ, Sennheiser HD25… ).WARNING: Try to get his hands off his equipment and you will not live to regret it!!!. After 1996 he starts more intensive his unfinished journeys around the world presenting his sounds in well known and hard-underground events and searching outer space for new intergalactical sounds. In 1997 he produces a radio show called: The Mystery Of Xtraterrestrials, presenting alien techno sounds and showing to 'human beings' parts of aliens' existence. A new year (1998) proved to be very progressive time for his music productions exploring new areas that made his dj sets combined with his live performances sounded and looked as new extraterrestrial music experiences. 1999, the year that brought Sigmatron and his 'base' in the city of London in England, United Kingdom, where he continues to present but most important search for new sound experiences for his music which lead him to produce his 'TRILOGY' new melancholic techno ambient tracks. In the beginning of year 2000 apart from his appearances around the world he decides to present a limited number of 'special sound' events to the crowds of Greece, which included 3 events with 4 djs and 1 djs group from Tresor club, Berlin, Germany. Tresor's first appearance ever in front of the Greek crowds. At the end of summer 2000 he moves his 'base' and lives in the city of Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom, where he establishes his record label SMP records (Sigmatron Music Productions) and organizes his events under the name of his label. His unfinished 'journeys' (performances) around Earth are in progress and his new releases in his label for the year 2001 are in orbit...you just have to follow the 'signs'... Sigmatron has been voted 4th Best Greek Dj at Music Elections 2001 at Clubzone.gr. Year 2002 can be characterised as the year of ‘U’ Project, an experimental video artwork production, ‘surrounded’ by space waveformed sounds, filmed and produced in Glasgow, Amsterdam and Athens. He also becomes a member of URBCOM recordings, London, U.K. Sigmatron’s official web site sigmatron.org has been voted and placed at number 601 at People’s Choice Award 2002 – Top 1000 sites by BT INTERACTIVE MUSIC AWARDS. July of year 2003 and Sigmatron’s debut album ‘Lost Angels’ is on release…dark, hard, sad & alien techno sounds let your mind dream while flying away, searching for the mystery of the lost angels…This project was produced and recorded at SMP studios in Glasgow & Athens.With the participation of Michael Slott (dj/producer from Dublin, Ireland) in one track At People’s Choice Award 2003 – Top 500 sites by BT INTERACTIVE MUSIC AWARDS, Sigmatron’s official web site has been voted and placed at number 237. Crack of year 2006...3 cities (Glasgow-Brussels-Prague)...3 artists (Sigmatron-Marta-Lukke)...3 studios (SMP-FLOWER-LUM)...and 3SP (3 Studios Project) has come to life in order to release their common '3Dimensional' sound experiments and visual artworks... At People's Choice Award 2006 - Top 200 sites by BT INTERACTIVE MUSIC AWARDS, Sigmatron's official web site has been voted and placed at number 181. Summer of 2007...his spaceship is fully equiped and Sigmatron is ready for the Terse tour...a narration of a hard tek story! ...a sound project acted in 4 cities in July, Hamburg 05, Brussels 06, Antwerp 07, Prague 08... with a combination of a unique live concert and a dj performance through a special laser effects & video artworks show! At People’s Choice Award 2007 – Top 200 music sites & Top 100 music blogs by BT INTERACTIVE MUSIC AWARDS, Sigmatron's official music site has been voted and placed at number 46 & official music blog at number 23. Dawn of 2008 and a new release 3SP005 X.O.I. from 3SP records by Sigmatron is already out, in order to put you in alert! Feb 2010…Hard sounds in flames!...the outcome of Sigmatron's new track 'Sparkz rmx' for Marta's 'Flamez+' 12" at fl007 (Prague, Czech Republic). Spring of 2010 and Sigmatron on Exude Grim tour 10 worldwide ...with a hard tek story full of intergalactical sadcore sounds & optical worx. Well known djs/producers from all over the world perform along with him in his events, through dj sets and live pas, since his very first event. He loves the hard-sad-alien-industrial-minimal techno sounds and he considers his greatest love Tresor club, Berlin, Germany, as The Holy Temple of Techno on earth! Minimal-Future are the key-words that reveal his sounds and his way of life. He 'stays' underground in whatever he does because he believes that by doing this, he keeps the original and mystery alive. And for those who want to get into this world of music, search your heart and see if you can find -The Sound- in it and never forget what he says, that: "…You Can't Become A Raver You Can Only Be Born One!". He is also known as: The Boy Of Heaven, if you ever meet him ask him to show you the 'sign' he has at the back of his right shoulder which proves that he really is The Boy Of Heaven and can fly!...
