In the last decade he has produced and recorded behind pseudonyms such as Neue Lärmklassiker, Medio Escinico, 100.cia… He started his career in the mid 90’s, emerging on the Barcelona scene as dj Ebola. His performances, a mixture of electronica and acid tones, were a big influence for a whole generation of clubbers that would gather at club Moviedisco, where Manel was a resident DJ for many years. Gradually, Manel began to focus more and more on the production side of music. His efforts will crystallize with the appearance of his first and only work under Neue Lärmklassiker, edited by Minifunk. Miedo Escinico and collaborations with the record label Business class shape other projects . Sistema originated as a project that embraces all the musical interests of Manel concentrated on the dance floor. A project like no other in the national scene, where the force of the rhythms and the density of the sound are mixed with high loads of melody, always a very important thread connecting Sistema’s work. Since 2000, Manel has worked with record labels such as FactorCity, Gigolo Records, Traum, Bedrock, Science of Sounds, among others. Natura Sonoris and Science Label will launch Manel Ruiz’s debut albums in 2011.
