  • Born in Landshtul, raised in Reno, and transplanted to Seattle, there's a little bit of everything coming from this producer. From rough & dusty down tempo to deep & delicious house, Sean Armstrong ("Sliptide") aims to be a purveyor of electronic music..
Sean’s lust for electronic music came as soon as it graced his ears while growing up in Reno in the late 80's/early 90's. Already living in a musical family and playing instruments from a very young age, his obsession with composing his own music overlapped with his love of computers and electronics. With the advent of accessible tracking software and synth emulation he took his love of music creation in new directions and ever increasing heights. Years spent producing his own music in many different genres yielded early releases to limited audiences and early internet communities (1999’s down tempo album, ‘City Shadows’). A relocation to the Seattle area gave him even more inspiration and dedication to music and he has spent years toiling away in his bedroom studio producing new music and refining his craft. His hard work has surfaced in the global scene with a debut deep house EP on Further Records ("Pike") with support from the likes of Estroe, Chloe Harris, and Norman H. Definite Ridge Recordings in the UK has snapped up his talent for remix work and original material for release later this year. He continues to build steam with more remix and original productions in the works and has been taking his live set to the local scene in Seattle.
