  • Sonogama Sounds Good
Ayoze Chico and Ollie Mendez (aka Sonogama) met each other at the beginning of the 90s thanks to the same interest and enthusiasm for "House music". They were both DJing individually at the time. Their paths crossed again in 2007 in London. Ayoze, already responsible for Sounderground Records and dedicated to music production, invited Ollie to hang out in the studio. Realising that they shared the same musical tastes as well as a deep interest in the same type of sound, they decided to create the project "Sonogama".  When they got together their main objective was to take a DJ set to the next level. Sonogama have since gained a wealth of experience playing for clubs and  festivals around Europe like T Bar, Cable, Fabric, Ministry Of Sound, Aquarium, Smartie Partie, Turmills, The End/AKA in London, Barraca, Apache, Magma, Eolica Festival in Spain and Urban Affair Festival in Berlin. Their DJ sets stand out for their diversity and skillfulness. Shortly afterwards, they gained recognition as producers and started to be appreciated on the underground scene following their “In Deep Shit” remix for Boltzmann & Orsted along with their first release "Wink-Bias" Brothers Hood E. P (Sounderground Records). Wink-Bias is just one of their productions which have stood out; being charted and supported by artists like Brothers Vibes, Brendon Moller, Jim Rivers, Jimpster, Ripperton to name but a few. Their last E.P “My Legs Were Yours” released by Murmur records with remixes added by Ryan Elliot and Geddes.  was hailed a resounding success  on the underground scene and amongst music producers across Europe “Hypnotic Beat” was another one of the tracks from their last E.P which received such recognition that it was it was chosen to open the Mulletover Compilation “The Story So Far 2004-2012”. With a lot more of material ready to release keep your ears to the ground for their music in a bass bin near you.
