The duo achieved significant popularity in advance of 2000s like DJ's as part of the Bologna underground house movement and had continuous success in the years following, combining elements of house music with funk, disco, nu-soul and synthpop influences. Varnelli and Agrario were originally in a funky-rock band in Lisboa in 2004 named "Fuckthebass" which disbanded after a short period of time, leaving the two to experiment musically with mpc, drum machines, fender rhodes and synthesizers. The duo released their debut "Osculation Remix" for "Funkabit" through "Garrincha Records" in 2016, two edits "Am I Gonna Be The One" and "Like It" with SpareChangeDisco in Jan 2017 and their studio single "Can't get enough" through "Paper Recordings" in summer 2017 to highly positive reviews. Franky Varnelli and Frank Agrario met in 2000 at Radio FUjiko FM in Bologna. The two became good friends and later recorded demo tracks with others from the Radio. This eventually led to the formation of the funk-based group called "Fuckthebass" with JosË Martines in 2004. Varnelli and Agrario played keyboards/bass and drum, respectively, while JosË Martines performed on guitar and vocal. In times where moms give their sons and daughters DJ-courses for their birthdays and deejing has become an Olympic sport, it is nice to see a record that sets a new standard in the genre of mix-albums: "Soundersons" from Italian groove-gurus. Fans of quality left-of-centre house music will know Soundersons from their highly acclaimed parties and dj set, which made it into the italian clubs. But thereís much more to the two friends than meets the eye. They are also masters in blending the finest products of music history together into a catchy, hilarious and -above all- intriguing groove exploration. From politically incorrect disco to funky r&b, from trendy nu-soul to banging italian house: if it gets a booty going, the Soundersons have it in their record collection. Blending beautiful tunes is far from new for the Soundersons. Back in the happy days of 2000, Frank Agrario and Franky Varnelli started a DJ-show on Italian national radio (Radio Fujiko Fm) , called "Beautiful People" for underground house, funk, disco passionate. Inspired by the philosophy of one Kenny Dope Gonzalez, Louie Vega and Dj Spinna, they cut together the best bits of funky tracks into an even funkier mix. Soundersons party are usually so excited with these eclectic sets.
