Listening to the body of work that we’ve heard, there was a sense that making great music for this duo was simply natural. There is an ease with which all their ideas gel together into something that is functional, streamlined, physically moving, and fully engaging. Call it osmosis: Suburb seems to have taken their name to heart and absorbed the radiating moodiness and dance floor savvy of the nearby metropolis that’s so famous for it’s measured take on the American House tradition. You’ll hear that they bring a little something of their own as well—something more uplifting that transcends the cold gray climate they inhabit, rather than merely reflecting it.
