- The NEW YORK CITY DJ ALLIANCE Initially formed as a DJ, production, dance, film and acting collective the group became mostly known for its electronic music. The NYCDJA has a varied rotating lineup, including the following: Uri Dalal Saam Ishi Supe..Teddy Tarantula, a little-known but terribly eager early-adaptor First Generation club kid from the early Tunnel basement days who Superstar Deejay Keoki tried to sleep with to no avail, as Mr Tarantula likes women. We wont hold it against him, now will we, kids! Tolerance, and all that. After all, someone has to have babies! And Mr Tarantula has a beautiful wife named Saam who just might provoked the middle-aged club kid with an offspring--a baby spider, if you will. Fingers crossed, Teddy! Fingers crossed! In any event, Teddy--that's "Mr Tarantula" to all of you out there in what they used to call Television Land but now the kids call the Interweb, has a long musical history and is actually semi-responsible for NYC's very first DJ specialty shoppe, MUSIC FACTORY (well, his father is, anyway)!! As a toddler, Teddy's favorite disco song was Musique's 'Push Push In the Bush' in which Teddy confesses thinking it was about some sort of duck, duck GOOSE game.
