- FUNK ON STEROIDS .... sample based music, free edits and original fresh funky grooves made to move people all around the world !Born in Mexico City, The Funk District is a project formed by Fernando Mendoza at early 2015 with the main purpose of bringing the Funk, the Soul, the Disco and African music back to the modern world with fresh elements and organic sounds. The first EP “Get On Down” released on Hotbox Boogie draws the attention of famous blogs such as “Discobelle” and “Music is 4 Lovers” generating a descriptive review about the project and putting it in the sights of many producers and labels all across the globe.
