    With roots in house, jazz, funk, hip-hop & a life long love with Disco Thomas Tuft has Been described as one of the most versatile dj’s of His generation. Thomas broke out of the underground in the early 90s as resident DJ at the Pleasure Dome, a fabled club in the North of England that laid the blueprint for future events like Tribal Gathering and Creamfields. Guests at the club during Thomas’ residency included Carl Cox, Andy Cato, Nick Warren and Laurent Garnier Africa Bambatta, Fabio & Grooverider, LTJ Bukem. Derrick Carter & Luke Solomon to name a few . . Soon after, Thomas became resident DJ at The Sub Club, sharing a booth with Yousef , Alison Marks and Paul Kane, the latter tempting him to explore Liverpool’s vibrant music scene. Now Director & the senior house & Nu disco buyer for internationally acclaimed 3 Beat Records, Thomas supplies DJs across the North West with upfront and classic vinyl, while continuing to feed his own insatiable lust for wax. Internationally, he’s stormed the main room at Club Friends, Valencia, in front of 8,000 Spanish clubbers, been featured in a TV documentary during another main room riot in Poland, and was invited to perform a rare guest set in Club Revolution, Holland Alongside Rene Amez. A sought-after invite from Liverpool radio station Juice FM has led to a heady mix of deep, soulful and tech-edged grooves infiltrating the city’s airwaves. At it’s peak reaching 30,000 people. Guests on the show have included Joey Negro – Greg Wilson – Mighty Mouse – Kelvin Andrews – Charles Webster – Guy Williams – Cosmik Boogie – Louie Vega - Dj Pierre - Tiger Stripes & Dj Hell to name check but a few. Thomas has been a regular guest at the Albert Dock’s exclusive Baby Cream and performed at the launch of the prestigious Creamshow art exhibition. At Creamfields Thomas is now on his 6th year on the Billing at this Award winning festival. A favourite in clubs throughout the city when London’s Soul Heaven came to town, they tracked down Thomas to warm up for legendary house music vocalist, Robert Owens. From one legend to another, Thomas supported Alexander O’Neill at Sunday night gathering Back To My Roots. Thomas has also brought his sought-after sounds to the Lemon Lounge, The Magnet, The Cotton Club and Barfly. He’s played guest slots at Northbound, Eye To Eye, Baambity, Soulkulcha, Funky Drops, Jubilee and Badaboom, and shared line ups with Blakkat, Liquid People, Greg Vickers, Kelvin Andrews, DJ Dimitri, Farley ‘Jackmaster Funk’, Paul Kane, Jo Mills and The Unabombers. Across the North West, Thomas is a familiar face at the Mint Club in Leeds, and at Wigan’s infamous, all-night rave, Like This Like That. He also played a show-stopping set at U:Soul, opening up for house music heavyweights, Fish Go Deep. Delving into his tech-house crates, Thomas smashed the dance floor at Fluorescent, True House and Love Punk in Derby At Dean Baker’s notorious Bank Holiday Knees Up, Thomas was asked to spin as a representative of esteemed record label Urban Torque. And more recently warmed up for the legendary Sandy Rivera at So.. Thomas is still in demand on the bar circuit, the breadth of his musical knowledge leading to residencies in Alma De Cuba spinning Latin jazz and Afro-beat, and Geisha where he lays down a mind-bending fusion of cosmic disco, boogie and electrofunk. Fusing these eclectic tastes into his inimitable brand of dance music, Thomas founded Troubled Souls at Liverpool’s Carling Academy . Causing a minor riot, Thomas hosted a night with uber-cool record label Defected, and invited New York sensation Mr. V to perform. Other guests have included top UK talent Richard Earnshaw, and Norway Leggend, Rune Linbaek. Bringing soulful, Deep grooves & Nu Disco to the masses. Behind the scenes, Thomas has writen columns for the likes of EMP magazine and has been a respected talent scout for a top UK record label. On the production front Thomas has remixed for Peppermint Jam’s Runnin’ Records, and under his own name produced the underground smash You’ve Been Warned, a favourite with Underwater Records head honcho, Darren Emerson. He’s currently working on several new projects and industry leaks to local press have tipped these new beats to be his best yet.Thomas is still at the forefront of the underground house scene. At the afterparty of Southport Weekender 42, he played a sun-kissed selection of deep, soulful grooves alongside Brazilian star DJ Meme and UK house don Dr. Bob Jones. Thomas is a musical aficionado, a tastemaker, and a globetrotting, floor-filling troubled soul.
