Tred Benedict is a modern example of the rising talent emerging from the London underground music scene. His love affair with vinyl started in 1999 and since then his sound has taken many shapes and forms but has always had the fundamentals of electronica at the core. Being a huge fan of innovation he is always pushing a forward thinking perspective into the shape and sound of his Dj sets and it is because of this passion, he has played at some of the most highly regarded events and venues in the UK and pushing out across Europe playing alongside some of the most sought after and respected names in the industry such as Sven Vath, Dubfire, Sascha Dive, Tiefschwarz, Gregor Tresher, Margaret Dygas, Nina Kraviz, Konrad Black, Lee Burridge, Troy Pierce, Alexi Delano, Ryan Crosson, Christian Burkhardt, Daniel Dreier, Lauhaus, Marco Resmann, Mark Henning, Sammy Dee, Cesare Vs Disorder, Tom Clark, Todd Bodine, Maya Jane Coles and the list goes on....................... Not only is he known for his presence behind the decks, he is also responsible for 2 London based promotions: firstly "Don't Techno Sh!t", a quirky anything goes party formed in 2008 which had a ever topical brand image outside of the norm. With an underground soundtrack at the forefront, Don’t Techno Sh!t has showcased some of the most cutting edge minimal techno and carefully selected guest Dj's that have since moved up the ranks to established artists. In more recent times, it has been the critically acclaimed daytime terrace party "Spilt Milk" that has caused quite a churn in the underground realms of east London. Spilt Milk has gained itself a colossal following of fans through the party’s carefree spirit and it's intelligent bookings, unconcerned with following trends and flavours of the month. Spilt Milk prides itself on showcasing quality headlining acts as well as pushing through the up and coming new blood of the industry. As a result of it’s attention to detail, the event has inevitably gained the street cred it so rightly deserved whiles adding to those credentials with it's very own vinyl label Spilt Milk Recordings housing artists such as Alexi Delano, Mihai Popoviciu Marc ashken, St. Bernard and of course Tred himself Make no mistake Tred Benedict is no amateur when it comes to playing records, and now with the recent releases on HIghgrade Records & With Compliments the future is indeed very bright for this one.
