Matteo was instant..Waitz (Matteo Cingolani) comes from a world far removed from his hooky yet heady tech-house grooves that he is fast becoming known for. In 2009 Matteo begun his first forays into the dance music landscape, attending numerous parties. Matteo was instantly lured by the rhythmic sounds of breakbeat, hip-hop and funk convincing him to learn how to DJ. After a number of years DJ'ing Matteo's desire to create his own sounds for his sets led to him taking up production in 2013. He set upon the task of honing his production skills with true dedication which resulted in his debut E.P. release titled 'Freak This' in January 2016 on Safe Music. If that wasn't enough 'Teachin' from the 'Freak This' E.P. reached the Top 10 of the Traxsource Tech House Chart. Since then Matteo has gone onto release on Basica Recordings, Defined Music, Madtech all in the space of nine months, whilst recently appearing on one of dance music's most renowned annual compilations 'Defected in the House' with his Traxsource #4 hit 'THPS'. Matteo has found support from the likes of: Claude Von Stroke, Franky Rizardo, Gene Farris, Joseph Capriati, Low Steppa, Neverdogs, Paco Osuna, Raffa FL, Ramiro Lopez, Reelow, Sam Divine, Simone Vitullo, Stacey Pullen with the list continually growing. Now Waitz has emerged he continues to go from strength-to-strength with releases in the coming weeks and months on Daylight Robbery Records, Elrow Music, King Street Sounds and Material Series. This is only the first chapter of the Waitz story, which promises to wait for no-one.
