- Ellum Audio artist, supported by: Maceo Plex, Solomun, Raxon, Joris Vorn, Roe Deers, DJ Hell and more.Brazilian born and based artist, Waltervelt is the alias of James R, the young and talented DJ and music producer. He started spinning tracks around 2009 and kept developing his skills for a few years, when in 2013 he decided it was time to create his own sound signature. It took a few years and some releases, but in 2016 he reached the high standards for his music and became Waltervelt, which was reflected by an invitation to release on Ellum Audio, imprint run by the iconic Maceo Plex and who was an inspiration for Waltervelt's work since beginning. This is curious because the call came after Maceo Plex played a song of him and the audience reaction was so wicked that Maceo started to search by the author of that bomb track, when they have found Waltervelt. After this first drop, he gained confidence and status to develop his work even further, up to the point he was invited by Ellum for the second time, now to place a track on their Album Sampler, along with the likes of Pete Tong, Citizen Kain and more. Not enough for Waltervelt, right after featuring this huge compilation he strikes again at Ellum with a stomping 4 track EP and receiving compliments from Maceo Plex himself, Raxon and other key talents.
