- Westboy is standing on the honor place in the Ukrainian electronic producers list that has won the audience’s trust on the international scene.Having received the mass support of his releases not only from friends and colleagues, but also from the famous foreign artists the young Kiev DJ and musician has been firmly fixed as one of the most demanded artist on Ukrainian techno and house scenes over the past few years. Ian quickly has found his original sound and it’s somewhere between ascetic techno, dreamy dip-techno and vigorous teck-house.This is, actually, the ideal recipe for festival music, which is hotly loved by the European youth. It’s not surprising that Westboy’s releases get to track lists of many DJs, and then sound in sets of those artists who Ian considers as the idols: Marko Carola, Audiojack, Loco Dice. At the moment Westboy has put out a several dozen of digital and vinyl releases. Some of them became big hits and were presented on prestigious labels. First of all, his collaboration with Drive D and Goshva «Sacrament of Shamans» that was released on Solomun‘s Diynamic label deserves the biggest attention. Westboy’s «She’s Got My Heart» single recorded with Noir has played no less significant role in his career development. Not only original version, but also the remix of Larse had big popularity. Thanks to Fedde Le Grand, who took the track to Toolroom compilation, the release received an extantion. Audiojack noticed “She’s Got My Heart” there and suggested Ian to record release for his label. In addition, EP on Spanish label Suara, tracks and remixes on Get Physical and Upon You imprints also should be also noticed. At present, Westboy is working on new music and preparing for 2015, actively touring as the resident of the most progressive Ukrainian club – the Kiev Boom Boom Room.
